Nonsense entries are written in GitHub Flavored Markdown, along some extensions below.

Variables

Legacy variables

These variables were added before Nontrinsic was developed.

• $AUTHOR$ — the user who requested the nonsense (defaults to Visitor if not logged in)
• $RAND10$ — random number from 0 to 9
• $RAND100$ — random number from 0 to 99
• $RAND1000$ — random number from 0 to 999
• $RAND90$ — random number from 0 to 90
• $RAND900$ — random number from 0 to 900
• $SERVER$ — current guild name (mainly used on Discord, defaults to The Nonsense Galaxy)
• $CHANNEL$ — current channel name (mainly used on Discord, defaults to #nonsense)
• $TIME$ — current time
• $TIMESTAMP$ — current timestamp

New variables

These variables may change over time.

• ${current_date} — current date
• ${current_year} — current year
• ${yap_score} — yap score of the entry
• ${app_name} — name of the app (client) being used to access the entry (defaults to Nontrinsic if not using a different client name)
• ${breaking_news} — the latest news headline
• ${elapsed_time} — time (in minutes) since current session first started
• ${nonsense_amount} — total number of nonsense entries

Custom emojis

Custom emojis are not implemented yet. Unicode emojis use Twemoji.

Redactions

Redactions can either be [REDACTED] or [redacted]. Square brackets may contain spaces, like [ redacted ].

Obfuscations

Just like redactions, obfuscations can either be [OBFUSCATED] or [obfuscated]. Square brackets may contain spaces, like [ obfuscated ].

Fill-in-the-blanks

[ __ ]

Fill-in-the-blanks must contain at least one underscore in between square brackets. Spaces do not matter.
