The number of ways that a deck of 52 playing cards can be shuffled. The answer is shockingly huge: 52 factorial, or approximately 8.06×10^67. That’s 8 with 67 zeros behind it.

This number is so enormous, so impossibly big, that it’s basically incomprehensible to most humans.

If 10 billion people on each of 10 billion planets on each of 10 billion solar systems shuffled decks at a rate of one thousand times per second, from the beginning of the universe (14 billion years ago), you would still be only 1/180,000,000,000,000,000th of the way to shuffling every possible combination. It’s an unbelievably huge number of combinations.
