atlantis was a real place, the Azores islands are what’s left of the landmass, the modern and historical evidence is overwhelming, and mainstream archaeologists have yet to properly excavate any site. private research expeditions continue to pillage the islands and surrounding seafloor for artifacts, and the entire landmass is visible on li-dar scans of the nearby seamounts.
