What does it mean to be a leader? Or a coordinator? Or a steward? You might say, “Oh, it’s easy to be one! You just tell people to do things for you.” The problem is that leading or coordinating or even stewarding something takes a lot of effort that the ordinary people don’t notice. They might just do the things as they’re told, but they’ll almost never have the initiative to do things that aren’t being told to them.

If the whole team succeeds or fails, it’s because of the one who “leads” the team in the first place. One might say, “This is such an unfair thing! Why do things have to happen to me as well?” The reality, as it happens right now, is that no one can simply be bothered to understand what it means to be able to “lead” others towards the same goal a higher person might tell the “leader” to do.

A coordinator is simply a coordinator. One does not need to be involved deeply in something if it only means to coordinate things together. A steward is simply a steward who takes care about something. But when it comes to being a leader… there’s nuance.

People simply cannot expect one to be acquainted with such things without regard for the things that aren’t as important as they are. If anything, it’s the opposite of what is going on.
